  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This creamy and comforting Boursin pasta is a quick and easy dish packed with flavor. Using just a few simple ingredients, including the deliciously herby Boursin cheese, you can have dinner on the table in under 30 minutes. Perfect for weeknights or when you need a rich, satisfying meal fast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite)

  • 5 oz (150 g) Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs recommended)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped (optional)

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)

  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)

  • 1 cup baby spinach or arugula (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Freshly grated Parmesan (for garnish)

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.

  2. Sauté Aromatics:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add shallots (if using) and cook for 1–2 minutes. Stir in the garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  3. Make the Sauce:
Lower the heat and stir in the Boursin cheese and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the cheese melts into a creamy sauce.

  4. Combine:
Add the cooked pasta directly into the sauce. Toss to coat. Add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce as needed.

  5. Add Greens (Optional):
Stir in spinach or arugula until just wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.

  6. Serve:
Plate the pasta and top with grated Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.

Notes

  • You can add grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed mushrooms for protein.

  • Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or milk.
